Rotas and scheduling
A rota is the week the team is supposed to follow. It fails when the names go in before the work is listed, or when the same people take every Saturday because nobody wrote the rule down. These guides stay on that job: building the week, swapping a shift, leaving a gap visible, and choosing software without a ranking we invented.
They are written for a cafe, a shop, a warehouse or a care setting that publishes shifts. They use the UK word rota. They do not pretend a pattern is fair just because the hours add up. Fairness is a rule you can point at, then a week that follows it. A draft is private. A published week is what people should trust.
Start with the rota screen if you want the product, the staff rota template if you want a blank file, and the work hours calculator if you only need the length of one shift. The working time guide is the rule on the average week and the gap between shifts. Read that before you publish a week that leans on an agreement you have not collected.
