Time, breaks and pay
Hours and pay get mixed up on a shift team because the rota, the clock and the wage all describe the same afternoon. They are not the same record. The rota is who you expected. The clock is a punch against a place. The timesheet is the hours someone submitted and a manager approved. The wage is a payroll job. Shiftbrook keeps the first three and does not calculate the fourth.
These guides cover clock-in choices and the rest break in the middle of a shift, including whether that break has to be paid. They point at minimum wage and overtime as rules you check outside the product. A Sunday premium, a tip and an unpaid break can all change what payroll must look at. None of them is a figure this site will invent for your business.
Use the clock-in page for the site pin, the timesheet page for approval, and the work hours calculator when you only need a start, a finish and a break turned into a length. The minimum wage guide lists the statutory rates. This category does not replace that page, and it does not replace GOV.UK.
