What WorkSchedule’s pricing page lists

On 23 Oct 2026, workschedule.uk/pricing listed a Starter plan that is free for up to 10 employees. The page covers weekly rotas, shift templates, rota viewing in a phone browser, time-off requests and approvals, UK working-time checks, labour-cost estimates with CSV export, and email notifications. Professional is £2.25 per user per month and adds a monthly view, SMS, team chat, role permissions and import.

Clock-in, timesheets, Xero Payroll, Slack, Teams, an API and calendar feeds are not listed on their site. This page does not turn that silence into a claim that the product lacks them. Shiftbrook’s own list is only what is built. Clock-in on a site pin, leave and timesheets are on the free plan. A shift template is a saved start and end, and the rota has a week view and a month view. People can be imported from a CSV. The roles are owner, admin, HR, manager, staff and client approver. Approved hours can be sent to Xero Payroll UK as draft timesheets on the paid plan. Slack, a Teams channel webhook and a Google Chat space webhook post notices on the paid plan. The API and webhooks are on the paid plan. A calendar feed of published shifts and approved leave is included. A native iPhone app is coming soon. Shiftbrook does not send SMS and does not include team chat.

Five staff, and ten, as arithmetic

Up to 5 staff, WorkSchedule Starter and Shiftbrook’s first organisation both have no monthly fee. From 6 to 10 employees, Starter stays free. Shiftbrook’s paid price is £3 per person per month, with a £15 minimum, so 6 people are £18 and 10 people are £30. WorkSchedule Professional is £2.25 per user per month, so 10 people are £22.50. Those are the published figures, read on 23 Oct 2026.

The agency plan on Shiftbrook is £5 per active worker per month, with a £25 minimum. The pricing page that was read prices employees, so this page does not invent an agency price for WorkSchedule. One 14-day trial of Shiftbrook’s paid plan does not ask for a card.

When WorkSchedule may suit you better

WorkSchedule may suit you better when the team is between 6 and 10 people and you want to stay on a free plan. Starter is free for up to 10 employees, and Shiftbrook’s free plan stops at 5 staff. It may also suit you better when you want labour-cost estimates with a CSV export, or the SMS and team chat that Professional adds at £2.25 per user per month. Shiftbrook does not calculate pay, does not send SMS and does not include team chat. A month view, shift templates, roles and a people import are already in Shiftbrook: the rota has a month view, a shift template is a saved start and end, the roles are owner, admin, HR, manager, staff and client approver, and people can be imported from a CSV.

Shiftbrook is the clearer fit when a team of up to 5 staff wants the rota, clock-in and timesheets together, with no monthly fee. The phone browser works today. A native iPhone app is coming soon. Past 5 staff, the price is £3 per person per month, with a £15 minimum.
